Kalamazoo/Portage Dialogue Iftar Dinner – March 18, 2025

The Intercultural Association of Michigan (IAM) was honored to host a Dialogue Iftar Dinner on March 18, 2025, at the Portage Zhang Senior Center – Community Room West. This invitation-only gathering brought together a diverse group of community members for an evening of connection, dialogue, and shared understanding.

The event welcomed city officials, nonprofit leaders, and representatives from various church and faith communities, creating a rich, inclusive environment for meaningful engagement. Guests connected across sectors and backgrounds while experiencing the spirit of Ramadan through a shared meal.

Throughout the evening, conversations reflected IAM’s mission to foster intercultural dialogue and strengthen community bonds. By bringing together leaders and community members in a warm, respectful setting, the event helped build bridges of understanding and collaboration across the broader Kalamazoo and Portage communities.
